Hello, fellow Pastafarians, my name is Syaban Shadikillah and I am a secular freethinker and freedom of expression believer from Indonesia. Yesterday (January 4, 2025) I wrote an open satirical letter addressed to the Ministry of Religion in Indonesia to accept Pastafarianism as one of the officially recognized religions in Indonesia (because why not right). Since then I’ve gotten a tremendous amount of backlash from various people in Indonesia. Some people reported me to the authorities for blasphemy and I even heard that some people wanted to kill me.
